Ghanche, Gilgit-Baltistan
Day-1 trekking camp in Nangma side valley — grass flats near 3,500 m with tower walls opening above.
Famous for
First grass camp on the Nangma Valley approach from Kanday (~3,500 m), with granite towers visible above the gorge.
Temperatures are typical seasonal ranges. Mountain weather changes quickly, so check the forecast before you travel.
Mingulu Broq (also written Mingulo Broq) is the usual first overnight camp on the trek into Nangma Valley from Kanday, Hushe, Baltistan. After crossing the Hushe River and two suspension bridges, the trail climbs into the narrowing side valley to a grass shelf around 3,500 m (≈11,500 ft) — where granite spires first dominate the skyline.
Trekkers camp on meadows with the Towers of Nangma Valley directly above. Day two continues to the upper Nangma meadows near 3,950 m beneath Amin Brakk and the main big-wall cirque. Mingulu Broq is therefore a sightseeing stop on the walk in, not a road-access viewpoint.
Day 1 — Kanday to Mingulu Broq: Four to six hours from Kanday village (~2,680 m) depending on load and pace. River bridges, gorge walking, then camp on grass with towers overhead.
Day 2 — Upper meadows: A shorter morning to the main Nangma camp used for K6 viewpoints and climbing-team bases. Many PTG trek quotes treat Mingulu Broq as the first named camp on this extension.
Access is Skardu → Khaplu → jeep to Kanday, then on foot. We add Hushe–Nangma trekking to Skardu tour packages when you have the fitness and extra days. Best window: late June through August. Message dates on WhatsApp for jeeps, guides, and camp gear.
Mingulu Broq is part of the itinerary in these 2 packages.

It is a trekking camp in the Nangma side valley off Hushe, Ghanche, Baltistan — typically the first night walking from Kanday toward the Towers of Nangma Valley.
Camp is around 3,500 m (≈11,500 ft) on grass flats. The upper Nangma meadows on day two are higher (~3,950 m).
No jeep road reaches this camp — you walk from Kanday after the Hushe valley jeep ride. It is part of a multi-day Nangma trek, not a same-day roadside stop.
Plan late June through August for stable weather, open bridges, and usable meadows — the same season as climbing teams in the valley.
We list it on supported Nangma Valley trek extensions from Skardu/Khaplu. Share group size, days, and fitness for a WhatsApp quote.
