Hunza and Nagar have in the past been two separate princely states and are only separated by Hunza river. Both valleys are blessed with natural beauty and manmade attractions. The Karakoram Highway passing through a narrow gorge from Gilgit up north to Khunjerab only opens wide in Hunza making it a bowl shaped valley surrounded by mighty peaks. By making Hunza base, it is possible to explore surrounding attractions by carrying out beautiful day trips and hikes. There are beautiful hikes located in both the valleys running along the glaciers and are guarded by beautiful snow topped peaks.
